Oxford, MS - Lafayette County School District is reporting one (1) case of COVID-19 for the week of May 17-23, 2021. Contact tracing has been completed, and anyone in close contact (someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for 15 minutes or more) with an infected person has been notified. The current case is reported for Lafayette Elementary School.

Lafayette County School District is reporting four (4) cases of COVID-19 for the week of October 26-November 1, 2020. Contact tracing has been completed, and anyone in close contact (someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for 15 minutes or more) with an infected person has been notified. The current cases are reported for Lafayette Middle School and Lafayette High School.

Oxford, MS - Lafayette County School District is reporting three (3) positive cases of COVID-19 for August 23, 2020. Contact tracing has been completed and anyone in close contact (someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for 15 minutes or more) with this person has been notified. The current cases are reported amongst the Lafayette Upper Elementary School faculty.

With the safety of our students and staff in mind, the LCSD is taking the steps to quarantine all of the 4th-grade class for the recommended 14 days starting Monday, August 24.  We believe taking this step will better protect our students and help in our efforts to contain while providing a healthy environment for all of our students and staff.
